Watch the Artist Bring the Color to

New York

"By the Route of the Sun"

"Por la Ruta del Sol"

Inspired by the richness of her home country and expressed with a cheerful and colorful visual language, this work draws creativity from the folk and textile ancestral imagery to create motifs that represent the products Ecuador is most known for. The motifs also pay homage to the good-spirited people of Ecuador and Latin America. In addition, the work acknowledges the artist’s home in New York City and depicts symbols that represent the Bronx, where the mural will live.
